The Kirk Originals Made in England collection has now landed in New York, downtown in Soho in the cool creative space that is the residence of carefully curated Men’s store C’H’C’M.
C’H’C’M was established in 2008 as an online store. The initails stand for Crescent Hill Classic Menswear, Crescent Hill was where Sweetu, the store owner lived in Brooklyn at the time, and it was only after people started turning up at his door wanting to buy things that he decided it was time to open a store.
In 2010, CHCM opened the door into their basement space at 2 Bond Street in SoHo.
Focused on their own path CHCM carefully choose and select from brands, only the pieces that fit into their viewpoint, joining the dots between selections from various labels from around the world to curate an overall CHCM aesthetic. Pioneering and influential CHCM were one of the first stores to present brands like Drakes and Valstar in a modern contemporary setting, an early stockist of Sunspel in the USA, and one of the first stores anywhere to sell Aprentuer from France and host trunk shows for Stoffa.
As well as Kirk Originals you can currently find in store pieces from Nanamica, C.P Company, Baracuta and Barena and new names like PAA, Niuhans and James Coward. The store has a focus on UK, US, French, Italian and Japanese made items, and since 2014, has been producing its own line of clothing to an equally high standard.
